Tonight was really fun. Kate's mommy was here, so she took Kate, Scribe, Gini, and me to Macaroni Grill for dinner. We got really yummy pizza, and I tried calamari and decided it's delicious...and it's meat! Who knew meat could be so good? So I ate some pizza, and some bread, and some calamari, and decided I was quite full....and then Scribe and Gini's dessert sampler arrived. Tiramisu, chocolate cake, and some kind of custard with strawberry sauce. And lots of whipped cream. I think it took us about 3 minutes to finish it. We were really hyper for a few minutes, and then we wanted to fall on the floor and die.
I get to go home tomorrow and see my kittens!! (And my parents and Janelle!)

This week was really, really long...we had lots of fun with the Ke(a)ris, even though it was really rainy and they slept through all the tours. Hopefully they'll both come to school here next year, and be in Strong College with us! Kate got the Two Towers Extended on Tuesday, so I finally watched it. It was good. On Wednesday, I was really sick and missed 3 of my 4 classes to lay on the floor and moan. Thursday night, Kate and I stayed up really late being extremely silly; hurray for semester-long sleepovers! Last night I watched X-Men 2, which was also very good. And today has been probably the least productive day of the semester, as Kate and I spent most of it sleeping, both in bed and on the floor. The sentiment of the day is "uhhhhn". It became slightly more productive when Scribe woke up and we went to eat. Unfortunately, the caf was severely lacking in foodstuffs, so very little eating occurred. After "dinner", I actually started to do some homework, but then Emily came over and we decided to go play pool in the basement. Now that I'm back in my room, I should keep working on my paper, but I think that can wait until tomorrow.

I think my new goal is to become a writer. I've always liked writing, and have thought before about being a writer. I want to write short stories and essays, and publish little books of them :) I've been really, really wanting to sit down and write something for the last few days, and today I finally had time. I spent a couple hours writing about half a page; I don't think I've ever revised something that much. I still think it needs some work, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I also think it's a little weird, but hopefully it's a good weird. It's always hard for me to judge my own work.

Wow. Friction Fest was awesome. Brand New Disaster, Stickboy, Sullivan, Alli With an I, Bear vs. Shark, My Hotel Year, The Necessary....so worth the 8 bucks. Bear vs. Shark's singer is insane; I feel special, because he screamed at my feet. And The Necessary was everything Devin said they would be.

Yay! All these birthdays make me wish mine was sooner. I hope Becca enjoys the, um, "present" we sent her...it's kind of silly, but hey - we're poor college students....
I registered for spring classes tonight. I can't wait to have new classes and have this semester behind me. And much like us being roommates just kind of happened, it just kind of happened that Kate and I have Mythology together next semester, so that'll be nice. I have lots of history/archaeology-related classes (yay!), and Intro to GIS, which just makes me feel really cool...yeah, I know I'm a dork. Dorkiness is highly underrated.
